Tuition and Cost of Attending

2008-2009 Tuition Rates
For new students starting a degree program during the fall 2008, spring 2009 or summer 2009 term:

  • $ 11,496 per term: flat fee if you are taking from 12 to 18 credits
  • $ 958 per credit: flat fee if you are taking fewer than 12 credits, or for each credit over 18
  • $ 600 per credit: flat fee if you are enrolled not-for-credit (auditing)

Our tuition rates include all lab and facility fees. A $150 non-refundable tuition deposit is due upon acceptance to the college. See the Admissions Policies page for more information.

Whether you will or will not be utilizing financial aid, you will still need to demonstrate how you will be able to pay for your tuition charges. You will not be scheduled into your first semester of classes unless all paperwork issued by our Financial Aid Office is complete.

Application Fee

There is a one-time application processing fee of $50. The application fee should be submitted with your Application for Enrollment. In accordance with "The Buyers Right to Cancel" the fee is fully refundable if you cancel your application in writing within 3 business days. Contact your Admissions Counselor right away if you have wish to cancel your application.

Books and Supplies

  • $600 - $800 typical cost per term for a full-time student

Each student is required to furnish his/her own books and supplies for completion of each course.

Health Insurance

Students not otherwise insured are enrolled in an HMO sponsored by RMCAD.

  • $950 per term typical cost for a full-time student. Summer term is free if you are enrolled during the spring term.

Flex Payment Plans

All students are required to pay their tuition bills online via the e-Cashier payment service, a division of FACTS Business Solutions for Education. Simply click "make a payment" from the Students page of this site.

You will need to enroll the first time you use the system. You’ll need your student ID# to complete the enrollment process. Your number is printed on all official documents from the College as well as on your Student ID Card.

Assuming the paperwork was completed on time your estimated financial aid will be reflected in the system. Please review the details on the e-Cashier website to find more information about how financial aid awards are handled.

Non-Degree/Certificate Programs

Tuition for the Certificate in Sustainable Design program is $650/credit hour, with a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500. Other non-degree programs and thier associated costs are listed with the course descriptions in the Continuing Education and High School Program sections of this site.
