With story telling, portfolio reviewers are interested in understanding your thought process and how those ideas are carried through in your artwork. Your portfolio should contain one or two pieces that show you know and understand how to make a visual narrative. Using one of your own works of art, you will learn how to identify and explain the narrative aspect of your piece. What do you want to say with your art? And why do you do what you do? Then, how do you go about presenting yourself and your art work? The first half of this day long workshop will focus on understanding the meaning of originality and how to convey that in your art work. The second half will take an in-depth look at how to present your collective body of art work, what to keep in mind and what details to pay attention to when pulling your work together to create your end portfolio.
